It is the long-awaited Ribbon Festival Day. Zukka tied a favorite pink ribbon around her neck.
Today is the anniversary of my close friend’s death. She passed away from breast cancer. We met and became friends when we were in Australia on a working holiday. During our stay, we worked on alpaca farms, traveled a lot, and spent most of our time together. When I think of her, memories of the smell of grass and the serene look of the alpacas come back to me.
I want to see you again.
